Noriaki Yuasa - Hebi musume to hakuhatsuma AKA The Snake Girl and the Silver-Haired Witch (1968)

One of the weirdest horror films to come out of Japan was "Hebimusume to Hakuhatsuma", based on the manga "Mama-ga Kowai" & "Akanbô Shôjo" by Umezu Kazuo (released in the US under the title "Scary Book"). Although publicity photos from the film have been seen in books on horror films for decades, few outside of Japan have ever seen the movie itself.
