Joe D'Amato - La Morte ha sorriso all'assassino AKA Death Smiles on a Murderer (1973)

"Death Smiles at Murder" is an excellent Italian horror film.It's a story of a man who uses an ancient Incan formula to raise the dead and uses it for his own series of revenge murders.This film is a bizarre mixture of necrophilia,sexual obsession and gore.It offers some downright hypnotic scenes plus a little bit of gruesome violence.The script is incomprehensible and the make-up effects are pretty terrible.Still D'Amato does create some wonderful imagery.Berto Pisano's soundtrack is hauntingly beautiful.The cast is excellent-Klaus Kinski shines in his rather underwritten role and Eva Aulin is effective as reanimated woman.Highly recommended,especially if you like Italian horror.

Joe D'Amato - Rosso sangue aka Absurd (1981)

A man is running, followed by a priest. He comes across a house but the tall gates are locked so he begins to climb them, however he slips at the top and impales himself on the spikes. Injured to death he's taken to an hospital. Once there, the doctors discover that this man has an amazing regenerative power and his blood coagulates very quickly, making him almost indestructible. Sergeant Ben Engleman is put on the case, and he finds out that the priest has the answers: this man, Mikos Stenopolis, is the result of a nuclear scientific experiment gone wrong. He's now completely insane and will kill everybody who crosses his path, showing no mercy.

Journalist Emanuelle travels to the Orient to interview a close relative of a King, but comes too close to uncovering official secrets for the state's liking. A group of castaways wash ashore on a deserted island in this Italian sex/gore movie. They are unaware that a sex-crazed radioactive monster is also on the island. He attacks and rapes several of the women, who die horrible deaths because his sperm is radioactive. The survivors must find a way to either escape the island or kill the monster.(imdb)

While attempting to interview an elusive gangster, photojournalist Emanuelle notices a man pushing a girl in a wheelchair through the airport. Later, in another country she sees the same man and the girl up and walking. Intrigued, she does a bit of investigating and uncovers an organization dealing in the buying and selling of young women. She goes undercover into the organization but finds that getting out again could cost her her career...and her life.
