Jan Koester - Our Man in Nirvana (2006)
from imdb:
Blasting and cool film, 5 November 2006
Author: k-akhtar from United Kingdom
Saw this animated movie at the Molidist festival and it is one of the most detailed, intricate highly composed pieces of film, let alone animation...i have ever seen. It takes the 'short' out of film. It needs to be seen on 35mm to be fully experienced. Its influences are from yellow submarine, to grunge in the 90s through its deep philosophical subtexts. Just 10 minute slice of pure excitement and Im not tired of watching this. Whats coming next from this young genius, Jan Koester? I think animation will change things for this genre when this hits the mainstream. By the way , the melodic variety of music right through to its heavy forceful riffs is scintillating.'
