“Hiram Keller, an American actor best known for his participation in Fellini Satyricon, plays the title role in Countryman. Keller is a do-gooder operating out of Jamaica. When a young woman (Kristian Sinclair) smuggling marijuana crash-lands in his domain, Countryman rushes to her rescue. It helps to have at least a passing knowledge of Jamaican culture and superstition for full enjoyment of Countryman, but even those unfamiliar with these elements will have fun on this roller-coaster of a film.
