A British Channel 4 documentary from 1987 which introduced me to the world of Maya Deren. There may have been a book on women directors in an arty bookshop before that which struck a chord with the otherworldly images but this doc was when I first saw the whole package. Moving.
It is narrated by Helen Mirren.
