This movie is a short film that shows a doberman chasing a man.
As a kid, dobermans were probably the scariest animals I ever got to see in real life. I had a neighbor with one, and so did my grandmother. Both of these dogs were always outside and would always go nuts when they saw someone. They would run along the fence, barking and jumping like they couldn't wait to get you. I was sure that if they got free, they would kill me.
Yet, this movie elicited no reaction from me. No childhood fears or nostalgia at all. I thought it was very pedestrian. Over the course of the few minutes of the chase, the man narrowly gets away from the dog a couple times. At the end, it looks as if he has him, but his leash gets caught on a tree, and the doberman is stuck inches away from the fallen man's face. The last shot of the film shows the leash breaking. So the dog probably killed him. I didn't really care much either way. I think they could have done a lot more with this.
