Mehmet Aslan - Tarkan Viking kanı aka Tarkan versus the Vikings (1971)

Quote:
Kartal Tibet is… Tarkan! A mighty barbarian warrior guy who runs around with his dog, Kurt, saving pretty women from danger. He’s currently in the employ of the daughter of an important political person who runs afoul of some bloodthirsty Turkish Vikings who worship a bizarre Lovecraftian man-eating octopus. Why do they want the girl? Why, to sacrifice her to their god, of course! The Vikings, lead by a guy with the most amazing moustache ever, land their Viking ship outside of the castle where she lives, and soon have killed off all of her men, with only Tarkan left breathing, laying unconscious and presumed dead on the floor of the courtyard after a bloody battle ensues. Tarkan isn’t going out like that, however and once he gets his strength back, he and Kurt track down the Turkish Vikings and set out to save the pretty damsel and save her from certain doom at the hands of the half inflated eight-legged demigod.

Mehmet Aslan - Tarkan : Altin madalyon aka Tarkan and The Gold Medallion (1972)

Description: In the fourth part of the Tarkan/Kartal Tibet saga, you will see a nude horseback riding vampiress snares a woman in a giant spider web, mad slashing and hacking "Ha ha!" style swordfights that would make John Cleese blush, acrobats tossing a young boy around like he’s a hot potato, our hero Tarkan fighting a gold swordsman in a room full of spikes, or a nun and a stripper are tied to crosses and stabbed in the stomach, their blood trickling down troughs to revive a busty undead babe in a coffin ala The 7 Golden Vampires! Think Athor but even cheaper.
Without a doubt the craziest of the saga.

Mehmet Aslan - Zagor (1970)

link wrote:

Did you know that such italian comics like Zagor and Comandante Mark were adapted to cinema years ago by Turkish producers? Mehmet Aslan's "Zagor" (1970) was a success that led to the making of two other Zagor films in 1971, this time directed by Nisan Hanceryan, and starring Levent Cakýr as the "god with a hatchett". In Tunc Basaran "Capitan Swing", a star of Turkish cinema, Salih Guney, was cast as the chief of Ontario wolfs. None of these films were produced using big money, but they are highly entertaining. The poster and the photos depict how the italian comic book characters were interpreted by Turkish actors back then. A new book (by G.Scognamillo and M. Demirhan) on fantastic films in Turkish cinema (published in Turkey) tells in detail the story of such interesting adaptations.
